Systems Quiz Answers

A bowl of nuts: is a collection. If you remove a nut, the functioning of the bowl of nuts doesn’t change.

A soccer team: is a system.

A pond: is a system. Multiple elements interacting to form a whole.

A library: is a collection. Add people, and it becomes a system.

A family: is a system.

A vacuum cleaner: is a system. Smash the vacuum cleaner with a sledge hammer and you have a pile of parts, but it won’t work. When the parts are arranged in a certain way to form a whole, it works and serves a purpose.

A kitchen: is a collection, until you add a person, then it becomes a system.
